Kirton in Lindsey in Bloom

Kirton In Lindsey in Bloom group is about making positive changes to our town through horticultural and environmental activities that bring an abundance of wildlife and splashes of colour to our town.

At the heart of our community we have volunteers, individual community groups along with the Town Council that come together to make our town a pleasant place to live.

Activities are for all to take part in and enjoy. If you would like to spend some of your free time, however much you can spare, you would be most welcome to come along and join in. Come together with others in your community and get to know new people, enjoy a wealth of experience/advice from the fantastic Bloom regular volunteers or simply take care of the space outside your own home. Anything you can do to help enhance our town will be noticed and appreciated. Involve the youngest members of our community to encourage a sense of pride for the beautiful town we live in and encourage the young ones to have a love for the nature surrounding us and teaching them to protect it as well as making the town bloom.

'Britain in Bloom' is sponsored by the RHS and has become a huge competition not just a community get together to clean up spaces. Every year experienced Bloom judges from the RHS visit all the places that enter the competition and provide thorough feedback to what has been achieved and what can be done to further improve spaces. There are lots of categories to make contributions to and during the summer the competition is judged and winners announced.

Do you want to be apart of a community that recognises the importance of taking care of the environment and all its inhabitants? Join us and volunteer, feel that sense of pride as you pass through the town we all live in and love. Volunteer as little or as much as you like just enjoy seeing the changes happen and lets continue to keep up the great work of the special volunteers that started this journey in our town.
