Voluntary Car Service
Humber & Wolds Rural Action delivers a Voluntary Car Service across North Lincolnshire, including Kirton in Lindsey, which helps people with genuine transport difficulties over the age of 18 get to important appointments such as doctors, hospitals, dentists, clinics, support groups, local shops etc.
The booking line is open Monday to Friday between 9am and 12pm.
Our volunteer drivers are available Monday to Friday between office hours. We do not operate early mornings, evenings and weekends.
Our volunteers give their time freely but charge £4.50 flat rate for journeys of up to 10miles and then a mileage rate of 45p per mile thereafter to cover the cost of fuel and other vehicle running costs.
Drivers will wait up to an hour and a half at a destination, but this can be flexible if more time is required.
All our drivers are DBS checked.
Passengers are required to register with us first – we post out an information pack together with a simple registration form which we must receive back before a booking can take place.

The service is always looking to recruit more volunteer drivers who use their own vehicles to transport passengers to meet a range of needs.
