Men in Sheds

Do you Enjoy Woodwork or practical activities?

Would you be interested in bringing Men in Sheds to Kirton in Lindsey?

Exciting news! A group of us are working to establish a brand new Community Shed right here in Kirton Lindsey!

For those unfamiliar, a Community Shed (often part of the "Men's Sheds" movement, but we're aiming to be a welcoming space for all!) is a fantastic place where local people can come together to:

  • Share and learn practical skills (like woodworking, repairs, crafts, and more!)

  • Work on personal or community projects

  • Socialise, make new friends, and enjoy a cuppa in a friendly, supportive environment

  • Help combat loneliness and boost wellbeing in our town.

We believe a Shed will be a wonderful asset to Kirton Lindsey, providing a valuable resource and social hub for many.

Our biggest hurdle right now is finding a suitable space to call home!

As a new, community-focused charitable initiative, we are looking for a location that is low-cost, or perhaps even generously donated or offered on a community-use basis. This could be an unused garage, a workshop space, part of a community building, a large shed, a portable cabin site, or anything else you think might work! Ideally, it would have power and be accessible.

This is where YOU, our fantastic local community, come in!

  • Do you know of any unused spaces in or around Kirton Lindsey that might be suitable?

  • Perhaps you own or manage a property that could house our Shed?

  • Do you have any leads or suggestions we could follow up on?

Any ideas, no matter how small they seem, would be gratefully received. Your support could make all the difference in getting this wonderful project off the ground for the benefit of everyone in Kirton Lindsey.
