Summer Gala
&
Picnic On The Green
Saturday July 13th
12-4pm

Following positive feedback for our King's Coronation picnic, Kirton in Lindsey Town Council are delighted to announce our Summer Gala will this year, be combined with Picnic on the Green

Join us and bring your family and friends, chairs and a picnic, and enjoy a day of outdoor fun and relaxation.

 

The following stalls will be in situ:

 

  • W.I - Cake stall

  • Kirton in Lindsey Town Hall - 200 Club and Prize Draw competition and a fabulous rowing Competition 

  • Helping Dog Paws Charity - Tombola

  • The Kirton Society - learn about the history of our great town and purchase publications 

  • In-Bloom and Mini-Bloom - Info and Table Top activities

  • KLAGS - Info and plants for sale

  • Kirton in Lindsey Archery Club - Soft arrows archery game and also selection of bows to view and discuss

  • Face painting from A Touch of Sparkle

  • Look Good, Feel Better, Cancer charity tombola

  • Brewbelles with 'Ellie' the converted Horse Box, providing fresh ground coffee & other refreshments

  • Kirton Knit Knacks - Knitted and crocheted goods for sale

  • Soak in the Stocks run by Glanford and Lindsey Lions

  • Love in a Cup Community Cafe - Tombola and hand made cards for sale

  • St Andrew's Church - A "toilet game" to raise money for toilets in poor parts of the world 

  • And music from the wonderful Glyn Morgan 

​

We will also be holding a raffle for a FANTASTIC Meta Quest 2, All-In-One VR Headset (worth nearly £200). Tickets can only be purchased at the event and will be 50p per ticket.

​

A HUGE thank you to #KCOM for their donation of the headset.

Our wonderful Fire Station (call-outs permitting) are bringing along their Fire Engine, a Rapid Intervention Vehicle and also a 4x4 with drone!

​

In addition, we will have some amazing events scheduled for you to not only view, but in some cases, we actively want you to take part...

  • 12.00pm - Introduction from our Mayor, Councillor Hazel Fox

  • 12:10pm - Field of Dreams Agility team

  • 1.00pm  - Tai Chi Demonstration

  • 1:15pm   -  Kirton Academy Band

  • 1.45pm  - Field of Dreams Obedience Display Team

  • 2.15pm -  Scarecrow Competition winner announcement by Mayor, Councillor Hazel Fox

  • 2.30pm - Music and Dance Journey performance

  • 3.00pm - Races!​​ (we want you to join in these games)

 

  • Kids running races

  • Kids egg & spoon races

  • Kids sack races

  • Mum's race

  • Dad's race

  • Wheelbarrow race - mums and dads

​

  • 3.45pm  - Tug of War​​

  • 4.00pm - VR Headset winner announced and Gala close by our Mayor, Councillor Hazel Fox

All timings are approximate.

Fire Service vehicles will be available unless they are called out on the day.

Please note that photography, including aerial photography, is taking place throughout the Gala and Picnic on the Green for promotional and archival purposes. The photographs taken are likely to appear on our website.
